The quadratic\nexponential model is suitable for the analysis of binary\nlongitudinal data when state dependence (further to the effect\nof the covariates and a time-fixed individual intercept) has to\nbe taken into account. Therefore, this is an alternative to the\ndynamic logit model having the advantage of easily allowing\nconditional inference in order to eliminate the individual\nintercepts and then getting consistent estimates of the\nparameters of main interest (for the covariates and the lagged\nresponse). The simplified version of this model does not\ndistinguish, as the original model does, between the last time\noccasion and the previous occasions. The modified version\nformulates in a different way the interaction terms and it may\nbe used to test in a easy way state dependence as shown in\nBartolucci, F., Nigro, V. & Pigini, C. (2018, Econometric\nReviews) . The package also\nincludes estimation of the dynamic logit model by a pseudo\nconditional estimator based on the quadratic exponential model,\nas proposed by Bartolucci, F. & Nigro, V.
